Fall 2006
It is over for now. The past six years of study and worship have come to a
formal end. Twice a month for six years (except for deep winter) a group
gathered and worshipped, and learned about the Celts, Celtic Christianity,
The Celtic Church and Celtic Spirituality. We saw films, prayed, discussed,
shared stories and insights. Do I know an awful lot more about Incarnational
Theology now? Well, I have some ideas and a lot more questions; but my faith
is deeply bedded now in an understanding that God is with us in the world
around us. That is not a bad thing, I think. The learnings and habits of the
past six years have worked their way into parts of our Sunday Morning liturgy.
The Saturday evening 'Family Worship' certainly has a Celtic 'feel' to it. I have
a good 'working' library of things Celtic now and the knowledge to go with it.
I have done seminars and workshops and will continue to do so.
I saw a stranger
today.
I put food for him in the eating-place
And drink in the drinking-place
And music in the listening-place.
In the Holy name of the Trinity
He blessed myself and my family.
And the lark said
in her warble:
Often, often, often
Goes Christ in the stranger's guise.
O, oft and oft and oft,
Goes Christ in the stranger's guise.
